The whole city is one huge canvas for shooting romantic photographs. Our wonderful couple were up with us late into the night and early in the morning capturing the most delightful images. Venice is the home of many famous artists and private collections. We were so thankful for having this opportunity to photograph such beautiful couple in the most beautiful city of the world. After three full days shooting, roughly four of hours sleep and a sore body from carrying camera gear over bridges and cobblestone, these few highlights from our trip are just a sample of what’s to come. I am off to bed and in recovery. West bound international travel is so much more taxing than East bound. The first two images were taken by my associate photographer Gary Guy. The black & white photo was taken during the last night of our trip in the rain.

The Enchanted Cypress Ballroom, with seating for up to 640 people and Ceremony seating for up to 300 people, The Enchanted Ballroom was just large enough to accommodate this spectacular wedding event. The entire ballroom was nestled upon bronze, gold and wrought iron decor with a subtle hint of neutral tones and beautiful custom made Chandeliers filled the entire ceiling. A perfect location for a perfect wedding. We were honored and thrilled to be a part of V and Ek’s wedding.

This photo was taken in Richmond, Texas yesterday morning in the historical downtown area of Richmond. Gary Guy and I have been working together quite extensively these past few weeks, in attempt to be better prepared and in sync photographing our clients over seas in Italy next month. We each bring our own set of skills to each photoshoot. This photo below of our Paris Model is an example of our creativity coming together. Gary had an idea about photographing our model jumping in motion and I added the spin with the red hat and the green wall.

This location is filled with Crape Myrtles, hibernating for the winter. Absolutely love these crape myrtles without their summer blooms. This looks totally wicked and creates the perfect setting for a mystical engagement photo shoot. Located just minutes from Downtown Houston, we were also able to squeeze in these awesome Urban style engagement photos with our precious clients. We came across this this classic American black convertible in front of Warren’s, located in the heart of downtown Houston. Gary Guy Photographer assisted in this spectacular photo shoot and was very helpful in tweaking out the composition of this very fine photograph. We concluded the photo shoot inside an Art Gallery. The owners were gracious to allow us a few minutes to get creative and create this spectacular silhouette of Stephanie + Rock between two works of art. I named the photograph, “Shadow Gallery.”

Weather could not have been any more perfect for this downtown session with Alyssa and Carson. We had a very versatile style photo shoot covering several different locations. The photo shoot began about an hour and a half before dusk on the streets of Houston, Sunday evening. We made a quick wardrobe change inside Hotel Icon and back out on the streets again for night work. Very disappointed to see Main street as dead as it is now compared to a few years ago around the Super Bowl in 04. Main street was lit with exciting neon colors up and down the entire street. It seems now most of the spaces along Main street are vacant, up for lease. Our once exciting colorful street is now dark. I hope Main street recovers. We sure miss all of the colorful lights at night.

We pulled over to see if this man needed assistance. He said that he was fine and he toted a notepad in one hand and a walking stick in the other and a larger sign above his head that read “LOVE LIFE.” My bother and I were glad that he was in good spirits and took a few photos of him and got back to our road trip never thinking twice about our encounter.

Well, today, our encounter on that desolate Nevada highway from 9 years ago has made The News

Since our client was having her wedding at Hotel ZAZA, we were permitted to photograph her beautiful bridal portrait session here, inside and around Hotel ZAZA. There are truly remarkable works of art hanging inside Hotel ZAZA. There is a photo, below, of our client in front of a face of a woman. This awesome work of art is the product of a local Houstonian artist, Ray Phillips. You should check out his work if you have a moment.
